How do I know if a sleep consultation is right for me?If you're feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or unsure how to help your little one sleep better — you're not alone. A consultation gives you personalized guidance, a clear plan, and emotional support so you can move forward with confidence, not confusion.
-
What ages do you work with and when can I start?I work with babies from 3 months old to toddlers and young children up to 5 years old. Newborns (0-3 months): While I don’t offer formal sleep training at this stage, I provide gentle newborn sleep guidance to help establish healthy sleep foundations early on. Babies (3-12 months): This is a great time to work on independent sleep skills, reduce night wakings, and establish consistent routines. Toddlers (12 months - 5 years): Whether you’re dealing with bedtime battles, night wakings, nap transitions, or boundary-setting, I’ll help you create a sleep plan that fits your child’s development and temperament. There is no “perfect” age to start—if sleep is a struggle and you’re ready for change, I’m here to help!
-
What methods do you use? Will my child be left to cry alone?Change can be hard — and sometimes crying is a normal response to change. However, your child will never be left alone or ignored during this process. I use gentle, attachment-based methods that prioritize emotional safety, connection, and responsiveness. We work together to create a plan that fits your child's unique needs and your parenting values — without harsh techniques, forced independence, or leaving your child to "cry it out" unsupported. Your child's emotions are seen, respected, and lovingly guided every step of the way.
-
How long will it take to see results?Every child is different, and results depend on their age, temperament, consistency, and previous sleep habits. Some families see improvements in just a few nights, while others may need 1-2 weeks to fully adjust. I’ll guide you through the process, helping you navigate setbacks and celebrate progress.
-
What Happens During a Sleep Consultation?Once you book your consultation, you’ll receive a detailed questionnaire designed to give us a complete picture of your child’s sleep habits, temperament, environment, and any underlying challenges. This helps us uncover the root causes of sleep disruptions so we can create a plan that truly fits your family. During our one-hour consultation, we’ll dive into the science behind sleep, helping you understand how sleep works and why certain changes will benefit your child. We’ll walk through your personalized sleep guide, discussing the adjustments needed and how to implement them in a way that feels natural and manageable. This is also your time to ask any questions and share any concerns—I’m here to support you and ensure you feel confident moving forward. If your package includes follow-up support, I’ll be available to check in, offer guidance, and help you navigate any challenges as you put the changes into practice. You won’t have to figure it out alone—I’ll be with you every step of the way.
-
What Does the Follow-Up Support Involve?Follow-up support is designed to guide you through the process so you feel supported every step of the way. Daily Check-Ins & Sleep Log Review – Each morning, you’ll send your sleep log and a brief update on how the night went. Once I receive it, I’ll review the progress, offer feedback, and make adjustments if needed to keep things moving forward. WhatsApp Support During Office Hours – We’ll communicate through WhatsApp, where I’ll guide you through changes, troubleshoot challenges, and offer encouragement. Sleep can feel overwhelming, but you won’t have to figure it out alone—we’ll navigate it together. Flexible Approach & Adjustments – If something isn’t working or your child is struggling with a particular change, we’ll adjust the approach in real-time to ensure it feels manageable for both you and your child. Support Calls When Needed – If we need to go over anything in more detail, we can schedule 15-minute check-in calls during the support period. This allows us to refine strategies and ensure you feel confident moving forward. Guidance Through Setbacks – Sleep isn't always linear, and things like teething, illness, or regressions may happen. I’ll help you navigate these moments and stay on track without unnecessary stress. This process is a partnership—I’ll be here to support, guide, and adjust the plan as needed so that you feel empowered and confident in helping your child develop healthy sleep habits.
-
What if I need additional support beyond my package? If you feel you need more guidance, you can upgrade your support by adding an extra week of WhatsApp support for R500. If your support period has ended, you can also book a 30 Min Sleep Consult Call to troubleshoot any new challenges.

If I Am Still Breastfeeding and Co-Sleeping, Can I Still Improve My Child’s Sleep?Absolutely! Improving sleep doesn’t mean you have to stop breastfeeding or co-sleeping if that’s what works for your family. My approach is flexible and tailored to your parenting style, ensuring that any changes we make support both your child’s sleep and your bonding preferences. We will focus on gentle adjustments that help improve sleep while maintaining the connection and feeding routine that feels right for you. Whether it’s reducing night wakings, creating more structure around feeds, or transitioning to independent sleep at your own pace, we will find a solution that respects your needs and your child’s comfort.
-
What If Sleep Training Doesn’t Work for My Child?Sleep improvement is a process, not an overnight fix, and every child adapts at their own pace. While some children respond quickly to changes, others may need more time, patience, and small adjustments along the way. The key to success is consistency and responsiveness—if you follow the plan while staying attuned to your child’s needs, you will see progress. That said, no two children are the same, and sometimes unexpected challenges arise, such as teething, illness, developmental leaps, or regressions. If your child is struggling with the process, I’ll be here to: Troubleshoot any setbacks and adjust the plan based on your child’s response. Offer alternative approaches if something isn’t working Provide reassurance and guidance to help you stay on track and feel confident in the process. Sleep isn’t about perfection—it’s about building healthy, sustainable habits that work for your child and your family. My goal is to support you in finding a solution that feels right, without pressure or a rigid timeline. If we work together with patience and flexibility, we’ll find a path that leads to better sleep for everyone.
